I bought a sweet new fisheye lens for my Nikon D70s and had some fun. I’m still figuring things out though and unfortunately Jack is afraid of the camera when its shoved an inch from his nose. Ah well. I’ll just have to cover the lens in peanut butter.
Here he is pouncing on a dog treat.

You need to get an external flash with a diffuser now, you can see the shadow of your new lens at the bottom of each picture.
Another trick with the fisheye is to learn how to set the lens for maximum DOF and then shoot on manual focus. That way you don’t have to worry about auto focus screwing things up. With a fisheye it is really easy to get everything from a few inches to infinity in focus.
