Hi there. My name is Mike. I am a forty something computer programmer and wise-ass. I like to crack the jokes. Crack em’ right over your head with a two by four. Ooh, zing. Or not.

I’m engaged to a lovely woman who I’ve been with now for nearly nine years. I have three dogs, Sanjo, Chloe, and Teddy, who combined weigh less than forty pounds. They are also lovely. And fluffy. And smelly. And loud. And cute. And lots of fun. We love our fur friends. Our other nickname for the herd of fur is “the poopers” which gives you some idea of, well, what we’re up against.

I’ve worked as a software engineer for going on twenty years and I’ve been working for Microsoft for more than half that time. I’ve done a lot of Macintosh stuff and currently work on the live.com team where I’ve done a lot of server side stuff with C#, SQL, and all that crazy stuff that only another backend dude or gal would grok. Now I’m doing more client side stuff and am really excited about it.

I also like reading science fiction, photography, playing my drums, hanging with friends, driving fast, and traveling. I’ve been to some interesting places like Egypt, the San Fermin festival in Spain, and Fresno. Yes, I’m being ironic. I also like writing funny and entertaining about me pages. Unfortunately, this may not really either of these and I’ll need to rewrite this soon.
