    Murphy Dog Studios

My friend Rob is fantastic photographer and he’s starting a new pet photography bidness. Before indulging in any preconceived ideas of what that would be like, i.e. a tiny dog with a pink ribbon tied to it’s head sitting on a pink pillow, check out his photos. No pink ribbons or pillows here (though that could probably be arranged ;-) ).

    Here’s his site: http://www.murphydogstudios.com

One of the pictures is of my dog Jack. Can you find it?

    Jimmy buys an Aston Martin…

My friend Jimmy bought a Aston Martin V8 Vantage. What a beautiful car. I’m simultaneously thrilled for him and seething with jealousy. Uh oh, I’m breaking one of the ten commandments. The question is, which one? ;-)

    This one’s for Trina…

I thought of Trina and her recent bathroom scale blog post. I can identify with her sentiments. I haven’t exactly been victorious in this area lately myself, but we won’t go there. For now at least. Anyway, check out this cartoon, it’s good for a chuckle.

[Edit. It might help if I put in the right link. Duh.]

    Scott Knaster gets new job

Writer extrodinaire, friend, and ex-microsofty Scott Knaster done got himself a writin’ stuff job at Google. Congratulations Scott! I look forward to reading about your experience working there on your blog. Well, if you write about it. Like don’t get fired writing about dem der secrets and stuff. Like, I’m just sayin’… Safety first. Wear a helmet. Knee and elbow pads. Watch out for rogue searches running rampant and riding off the rails and flinging keywords about hither and yon. Don’t forget to duck. Damn out of control search engines. Somebody should do something.

    Right on!

Congratulations! My good friends Dick and Trina be gettin’ hitched! :-)

    Hacking your ipod…

Scott Knaster has published a new book Hacking your ipod and iTunes. Congratulations Scott! The book even has its own website!

Scott and I worked together back in the good old days in the MacBu. I’m glad to see him doing well and publishing. That pretty much kicks ass.
