    What a lovely sunset!

So the other day I was lounging in my wicker love seat on the porch of my craftsman home, enjoying some steaming tea, when I snapped this picture of of the lovely sunset…

Or not, see there’s a couple of things wrong with this story.

First, my home is not a craftsman. Can you even get a craftsman in a doublewide?

Two, I don’t drink tea. Only home-made hooch.

Three, I almost never lounge. See, I gots me a Still that done likes to explode.

Four, I think about the only good use for wicker is for starting fires. Preferably under my Still.

And five, this picture was taken on Mars.

Shploink! Boing! Whaaa?! Yes you heard right! Mars. The red planet. Click here for the full story.

    More amazing photos…

Here are some amazing user submitted photos. Of space. You know - the inky blackness. The void. The big beyond. Wow, that must take a big freakin’ telephoto lens. Um, paging Dr. Freud!

    Pictures of mars…

Stunning pictures of Mars. Check out this link, and this link. Click the picture below for a high res version.

From esamultimedia.esa.int: “This image of the Martian north polar ice cap shows layers of water ice and dust for the first time in perspective view. Here we see cliffs which are almost 2 kilometres high, and the dark material in the caldera-like structures and dune fields could be volcanic ash.”

2004 a very important year for space flight…

A very interesting article. If you like that kind of thing. Which I do.

    WTH? Strange space blobs?

First I’ve heard of strange space blobs! Dammit Jim, I’m a programmer not an astrophysicist! Giant Galactic Blobs? What a snazzy scientific sounding name! Not. This is wild. So each blob has a couple of galaxies in it. Read that last sentence carefully. Friends, that’s truly supersizing it. This shiznit blows my mind. What’s left of it anyway.
